Evaluation of Left Ventricular Diastolic Function by Pulsed Doppler Echocardiography in Patients with Hypertension
Á¤»ó¸¸.
Abstract
Background:
@EN Diastolic dysfunction at left ventricle is an important cause of cardiac morbidity and appears to be one of the earliest detectable abnormalities in hypertensive patients. Recent pulsed Doppler echocardiography studies have revealed that this
technique is useful in the assessment of left ventricular diastolic filling abnormalities in hypertension.
@ES Methods and Results:
@EN We performed M mode and pulsed Doppler echocardiography study in 21 consecutive patients with hypertension and 12 control group. The IVST and LVPWT was increased in hypertension(11.3¡¾2.0mm, 11.3¡¾1.8mm vs 9.2¡¾1.9mm, 9.3¡¾8mm)(p<0.01,
p<0.01).
The
PFVE, PFVA and PFVA/PFVE ratio of hypertension(68.48¡¾15.60cm/sec, 82.58¡¾11.90cm/sec, 0.84¡¾0.18) were different significantly from control (79.32¡¾10.20cm/sec, 62.25¡¾9.37cm/sec, 1.27¡¾0.21)(p<0.01, p<0.001, p<0.001). The TVIA was increased in
hypertension(9.24¡¾2.45cm VS 8.07¡¾2.98cm)(p<0.05). But TVIE and DT were statistically similar(10.81¡¾3.29cm vs 12.23¡¾4.39cm and 157.3¡¾53.7msec vs 149.2¡¾49.6msec : NS).
@ES Conclusion:
@EN The hypertensive patients have an abnormal pattern of left ventricular filling by pulsed Doppler echocardiography and showed a shift of ventricular filling to the atrial contraction. This method seed to be useful index for evaluation of left
ventricular diastolic function in hypertensive patients.
